I have been playing guitar since about the summer after 9th grade in 2007. It's been over a decade since I started. While I have certainly not been consistent, and I'm not technically great, I've really found a style of playing over the past couple of years that I really enjoy and want to share. This page will be for that.
My main() method
This here, is my favorite guitar I've ever owned. I have an electric guitar as well, my first acoustic guitar that doesn't even have strings on it, and an acoustic electric bass guitar. I do not play any of them except this one featured right here. I love it. I bought it from a pawn shop as I have all of my instruments and it is one of the best decisions I have ever made in my life. It wasn't in the best shape when I bought it but it's price point reflected that and I am not one to care about aesthetics either way. One of the first things I did to it was put some deep deep grooves in it with a knife just below the base of the neck to emulate the surface of a scratchpad. So yeah, I definitely don't care about how it looks. I care about what I can do on it and how it feels in my hands pressed against my chest and stomach. It feels great. It's my main() method that I can execute some musical code on.
What is this? I really don't remember this one here. In fact, I don't remember most of any of the ideas I record. There is kind of a beauty in that too; creating something and it just being part of a moment that makes you feel a certain way and that's the only time and place in which it exist. It's beautiful. Well, this clip I found on my PC and it's documented so that doesn't really apply with this one but most of my recordings are just audio whose ideas never get revisited or expanded upon.
I don't remember how old this idea is here. I do know I'm playing on my lunch break during work hours as I often would. I like to intermittent fast and I found bringing my guitar with me to work is a great way to deter me from eating when I'm really not hungry but have associated "lunch time" with eating throughout the years. Spectrum, if you're reading, I promise this is during my break. |

Neat Idea

This is a fun idea that I really need to expand. I have played around with it some more but it still needs a lot of work. The part at 15 seconds when it breaks into the main rhythm is a lot of fun to play every time I do. Never gets boring.
